The Lady Chiefs split a double header with Sidney on Saturday at Bluejacket Park losing the first game 1-0 and winning the second game 6-2.

 

The first game was a pitching gem that went into extra innings.  The Chiefs took charge of the second game to earn the split.

Ohio Hi-Point Cosmetology Program plans “Cut-a-Thon”

ohp_cut-a-thon.jpgOhio Hi-Point Career Center’s Cosmetology Program will sponsor a “Cut-a-Thon” on Thursday, May 15, from 9 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the students’ educational trip to Chicago, where they will attend a hair show and take classes, as well as learn about the latest trends and styles and new products. The event is open to the public and will be held on the Bellefontaine campus in the Hi-Point Salon.

Raider boys and Laker girls Jr. High track teams compete Saturday

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpg The Jr. Ben Logan Raiders were at the Anna Junior High Rocket Relays, while the Jr. Indian Lake Lady Lakers participated in the 19th Annual Urbana Jr. High Track Classic.

The Ben Logan JH boys track team placed third out thirteen teams with 70 points at the Rocket Relays.

ball_and_bat_photo_on_4-08.jpgHuntsville #4 Sunderhaus Insurance outscored Huntsville #3 Logan County Co-op 17-10 in T-ball action.

Ethan Parker led Sunderhaus Insurance with a Grand Slam one of his two hits. Austin Parker also hit a home run. Kyle Levan hit a pair of doubles, while Isaac Roby and Kylee Morrison also doubled.

Alyia McCoy tripled and Tyler Roberts doubled for Logan County Co-op. Katie Burden turned in an outstanding defensive game.
