Congressman Jordan
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) announced today that the Department of Homeland Security has approved $20,425 in operations and safety grant funding for the Bokescreek Township Fire Department in Logan County.
"This is outstanding news for Bokescreek Township," Jordan said. "This funding will help the township's first responders be better prepared to fight fires and save lives throughout their jurisdiction."
The funding is made available through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program, through which DHS will award roughly $500 million to fire departments and other emergency responders across the nation this year.
