Ray Small
Ohio State receiver and punt returner Ray Small has been suspended in what his father describes as heavy-handed and unfair treatment on the part of coaches.
Ken Small says his son is out for two games for missing a class, a charge he says his son denies. An athletic department spokesman says the suspension is for an unspecified violation of team rules.
Small's father said in interviews published Thursday that he thinks Ohio State is intentionally trying to ruin his son's career.

DeGraff Village Council met in regular session earlier this week and talks from visitors and a reminder of the new water tower groundbreaking were the main topics of discussion.
Several citizens of DeGraff were in attendance during Tuesday's meeting to express their interest in applying for the vacated council seat.

The Bellefontaine Middle School cross country team hosted its first annual fall Fun Run for 6th graders yesterday.
Thirty-six students participated in the race.
The top 5 boys were Matt Entsminger, Dorian Hughes, Dalton Short, Aaron Rutherford, and Lane Kiser.
The top 5 girls were Madisyn Norris, Savannah Bryson, McKenzie Patton, Layne Mentzer, and Kaitlyn Varian.

It was a busy night at the Holland Theatre in Bellefontaine as many people gathered to hear the results of the local issues in Logan County. Five schools had levies, several villages had issues and a new Sheriff was elected in Logan County. Check out a complete recap of all the Logan County numbers in this story. John Bayliss
Incumbent John Bayliss secured his commissioner position with more than half of the votes. Bayliss received 11,561 votes with 57%.
Independent Donald Bradley received 5,048 votes with 25%, and Bruce Lile received 3,637 votes with 18%.
Bayliss has served as Logan County Commissioner since 1997. (Audio interview included.)
