Bellefontaine's Varsity baseball team lost a close game to Garfield Heights at Blue Jacket on Saturday, the first game of a doubleheader.
The Bulldogs were sparked by a grand slam in the top of the 3rd inning to beat the Chiefs 6-5.

The rash of injury accidents in Logan County continues.
The sheriff's office responded to a serious injury accident Friday afternoon on Route 68 about five miles north of Bellefontaine (near Hoghead).
A 1994 SUV crashed shortly after two o'clock.
One person was taken by Lifeflight to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
No name has been released and the wreck remains under investigation.

Benjamin Logan High School will be participating in the "Days of Remembrance", which commemorates the victims of the Holocaust by promoting the end of prejudice and inhumanity through education, vigilance, and tolerance, during the week of April 27th to May 2nd.
During this week high school students will remember those who were lost and learn to live lives conscious of our effort on others through information and research about this time in history; understanding this tragedy's relevance in our time; and engaging in political action for the betterment of humanity.

David Taynor
David Taynor, a 1999 graduate of Urbana University, was named Blue Knight head football coach today. He becomes the ninth head football coach at Urbana.
"Coach Taynor was the player's choice from the moment they met him. His background as an outstanding student-athlete at Urbana University made him the ideal fit for our program," said Urbana University Director of Athletics Doug Young. "Dave knows what it takes to be successful at the NCAA Division II level. We will all benefit from his experiences with the great programs that he has been a part of in the past."
