Local Child Support Staff attend Spring Conference

Several staff members of the local child support office attended the 2008 Spring Conference sponsored by the Ohio Child Support Enforcement Agency Directors' Association. 

The conference was recently held in Worthington and over 500 child support workers attended.

Logan County CSEA Director Kim Kellogg-Martin and Staff Attorney Cynthia Heffner served as moderators.

Chiefs and Raiders win in baseball, Indian Lake and Riverside cruise in softball

ball_and_bat_photo_on_4-08.jpgSeveral of our local baseball and softball teams were in action Monday.

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team rolled past host Tecumseh 12-2.

Junior Zach Mosbarger earned the win to move to 2-0.

Mosbarger, T J Garman, Brandon Winter, Austin Pulfer, and Cody Mehl had multiple hit games.

The Chiefs are 4-2, 2-2.

Chiefs and Lakers shine in junior high track

indian_lake_logo.jpgThe Bellefontaine and Indian Lake Middle School track teams competed in tri-meets last night. 

The Bellefontaine boys team placed second, finishing ahead of Indian Valley but behind Urbana.

Placers for BMS were:

1st
Aaron Dunn 110m hurdles 15.4
Peyton Kesler 1600m run 5:10
Peyton Kesler 800m run  2:24.1
Aaron Dunn 200m dash 24.0
Aaron Dunn long jump 17'9.5"

BHS tennis team wins again

tennis_photo.jpgThe Bellefontaine varsity boys tennis team blanked Springfield Shawnee 5-0 last night.

The Chiefs are 5-2 overall and 4-2 in the CBC.

Coach Stein's team plays at Northwestern today.

 
West Liberty-Salem shines at State Science Olympiad

tiger_logo_on_10-07.jpgThe West Liberty-Salem Junior High Science Olympiad team finished 8th out of 40 teams in the state tournament held at Ohio State on Saturday.

Out of the 23 events and 2 trial events, the Tigers brought home 20 medals.

Elizabeth Gresh won 4 medals, including a gold in Rocks & Minerals.
