FALL BALL REGISTRATION................ (8:00AM)
Some key facts about what we do:
The league is for boys and girls ages 8 - 14
We play games on Saturday afternoons at 2 pm, or 4 pm,
Most of the time it is a single game, some are double-headers
Kids who sign up as individuals are placed on a team
10 year olds and 12 year olds can play up an age division if they want
10 & under games use Little League rules, while 12 yr old and 14 yr old age groups play High School Rules.
We do limit the amount of pitching to 2 innings or 3 innings depending on the age group
The entire roster will bat, with open substitution on the defense
We start Saturday Sept 6 and finish Oct 4
The primary location is Ratleff Park, with Southview Park used occassionally
The cost is $40 per person, please mail in payment in advance.
The fees cover umpires, Parks Dept staff costs, and game balls
It is helpful to have a reliable email address for communication purposes
All players provide their own equipment and uniforms
A sign up table will be provided on the first day for parents to sign the forms and pay also

THE 2ND ANNUAL BILLY JERVIS MEMORIAL SOCCER-FEST TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 12TH.............. (All Day)
The 2nd Annual Billy Jervis Memorial Soccer-fest will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at Bellefontaine High School at 5:00 pm.
There will be men's and women's scrimmages along with an alumni game. Admission is free. Any alumni wishing to participate should contact Steve Henry at 593-0815.
At 5pm we will be hosting a soccer super....
scrimmage involving the Bellefontaine womens high school soccer team, the
men's high school team, and the Bellefontaine alumni team. The schedule is
as follows:

These are tentative and may be changed due to the number of alumni involved.
The event will be held at Dodd Stadium starting at 5pm. There is no charge

Soccer Association in honor of William 'Billy' Jervis, former Bellefontaine
soccer player that passed away in March of 2007 in an automobile accident.
We will have t shirts on sale and a 50/50 drawing.

The Rushcreek charge/Kids For Christ Youth Group (Harper/ Big Springs United Methodist Church) is hosting The END OF SUMMER CAMP 2008 @ Camp Wesley August 15,16,17. $20 per camper. All ages welcome (under 5 needs to be accompanied by an adult) families welcome too. Weekend of worshipping God through worship, games and devotions (Children up to 4th grade- taught by Ranger Ruthie with Glory Clown ministries. Junior High, high school, and adult classes will be held throughout the weekend. We have several activities planned. Such as canoeing, swimming in the lake with the Blob (oversized raft you bounce off of into the lake), Outdoor movie, night hikes, cooking over the campfire,
and family swim time are a few of the activities.

Friday, August 15th at 7:00 pm the annual outdoor mas will be celebrated at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima on Indian Lake. The Most Rev. Daniel E. Pilarczyk will be presider. A program of special music will begin at 6:30 pm.
The Shrine is located at the end of Chase Avenue off Rt. 366 in Russells Point, Ohio. The public is invited to attend. Bring your own lawn chairs. All parking will be in the parking lot at St. Mary of the Woods Church. A shuttle service will be provided. A reception will be held immediately after the Mass behind the statue. All are welcome.

The BOSS Summer Run At The Lions Park In West Liberty............ (7:30AM)
The 2008 B,O.S.S. Summer Run is set for Saturday, August 16th at Lions Park in West Liberty. The 10K and 2.4 mile races begin at 9:00 a.m. and registration starts at 7:30 a.m. The entry fee is $15 including a t-shirt if registered by August 12th. All proceeds benefit our Big Orange Cross Country teams. The entry fee for all WLS students and athletes is $5 and includes a t-shirt if registered by the August 12th deadline. Trophies are awarded to the first male and female finishers and awards are given to the top three in each age group of the 10 K run and the first place finishers in each age group of the 2.4 mile run. There are also always plenty of great door prizes. Entry forms are available at the Big Orange Shoe Shop or you can call me (465-0931), and I'd be happy to mail a form to you.

As many of you know, our family has been battling cancer for over a year now and we are supporting our survivor, Dave Forsythe - a husband, a brother, a father, and a papa.
Please join us in supporting his battle as we host the
1st Annual Forsythe Family Relay for Life Cornhole Tournament
with all the proceeds benefitting the Logan County American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
We would love to see as many participants as possible.

MENDED HEARTS SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET.... (6:00PM)
Mended Hearts Support Group will be meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 6:00 pm.
21 Hunter Place next to AcruSport. Our speaker will be Lois Coons, RN, BS. From Mary Rutan Hospital. She will be reviewing "Cardiac Stress Testing". Everyone is welcome to attend our support meetings as there are always something you can learn about heart problems and recovery process. You do not have to be a member to attend. Refreshments will be furnished.
