Memorial Day Monday May 26, 2008 Mt.Victory, Ohio Village Park Free Admission The Mount Victory Community Development Association will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Antique Car Show and Petroliana Swap Meet on Monday, May 26, 2008, at the Mount Victory Village Park. This non-profit community celebration includes many activities including a non-judged car show and a large display of gas, oil and automotive memorabilia for show and sale. Admission is free. At noon the William Britton VFW will have a ceremony beside the park. Great food will be served at the Sportsman Building by The Mount Victory United Methodist Church.. This year's feature vehicle is a 1966 Chevelle SS owned by Don Houchin Jr. of Bellefontaine, Ohio. The Chevelle SS was one of the first and probably the most favorite Muscle car. The process of restoring this car was a total frame off restoration that took almost three years to complete. Don has a passion for cars that was instilled in him by his father, long time car show promoter Don Houchin Sr. There is no entry fee for auto exhibitors and registration begins at 10:00 a.m. The first 250 cars to register receive a button showing the featured car. This year, weather permitting, a Vintage Plane Fly-In is planned for the Plaza Inn air strip. Jack Cowen, vintage plane owner from Upper Arlington is the spearhead of this new event. The entire village participates with yard sales. The Volunteer Firemen will hold a chicken BBQ at Memorial Hall beginning at 12:00 noon. The antique and craft shops located throughout the village will be open. Flea market spaces are available downtown, for further information contact Janie Seiler at (937) 354-5531.
