An area man was arrested on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Bellefontaine Saturday morning.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office was following up on a load of scrap that Christopher Stalk, 30, of St. Marys, took to Sims Brothers.

Deputies stopped his vehicle on North Main near Sandusky Avenue around nine-thirty.

He was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stalk was then lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Today is your last chance to register to vote for next month's general election.

The Logan County Board of Elections will be open until nine o'clock tonight.

They're located at 225 South Main Street in Bellefontaine.

Voter turnout is expected to be very high this year.

Every Logan County school has an issue on the ballot.

Contested races include sheriff, family court judge, and one commissioner seat.

Fatal ATV accident in rural Champaign County Print E-mail

state_patrol_cruiser_on_8-08.jpgTroopers from the Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Knight Road near Middle Urbana Road in Champaign County.

At 10:16 Saturday evening, Randy A. Koehler, 41, Urbana, was driving a 2004 Polaris Scrambler eastbound on Knight Road. Koehler failed to maintain control, overturned, was completely ejected, and traveled off the right side of the roadway. Koehler was not wearing a helmet and the use of alcohol is being investigated.

Care Flight transported Koehler to Miami Valley Hospital.

He passed away Sunday afternoon.

The Bellefontaine City Schools Board October 13th meeting will be held in the Distance Learning Lab at BHS beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is a change from the usual location.

Wednesday will be a "Huddle Day" for Bellefontaine City Schools. Students at all buildings will be dismissed one hour early, so that teachers may participate in staff development activities.

Dismissal times are as follows:

High School - 1:24; Middle School - 1:30; Western - 2:15; Northeastern and Southeastern - 2:30.
