Phil Forsythe holds the "Friend of Education" plaque.
WPKO & WBLL received a prestigious award at Bellefontaine City Schools' Convocation at the high school Monday morning.
The radio stations were presented with an annual award from the Bellefontaine Education Association.
Longtime educator Phil Forsythe nominated WPKO & WBLL for the "Friend of Education" award last spring.
He explains more about it. (Video interviews included.)

Devonne Petaway
A three-day jury trial started today in the Logan County Courthouse.
Devonne Petaway, 34, at large, is being tried on multiple felony counts from an in-home invasion in Bellefontaine earlier this year.
In February, he was indicted for aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, abduction, and weapons under disability.
Visiting Judge David Faulkner is handling the trial.

2009 Acura TL
Honda is unveiling the next Generation Acura TL today in a media ride-and-drive event at the Marysville Auto Plant. The Acura TL is being prepared for mass production exclusively at Marysville.
New model teams from the auto plant and Honda R&D Ohio Center will be available to demonstrate the new technologies and cutting edge features, including navigation and audio systems. The new model, the only luxury vehicle produced in Ohio, has been several years in the making. Honda R&D Ohio Center engineered the Acura TL from its design concept to the final product.

 It's back to school time!
Bellefontaine City Schools begin the new year on August 20th. High school students are reminded that the school day begins at 7:35 a.m.
Bellefontaine Middle School will begin classes at 7:40 a.m. this year.
Indian Lake resumes classes on August 20th for grades 1-12. Kindergarten starts class on August 21st.
