Quint Terry had five rushing touchdowns and ran for over 200 yards.

Keeyln Zell threw a pair of touchdowns to Trent Rodenberger.

The defense had seven turnovers.

Beau Harmon, Brent Weiss, and Tanner Penwell had several tackles.

Chiefs and Raiders earn league wins in volleyball Print E-mail

volleyball_file_photo_on_10-07.jpgTwo local varsity volleyball teams posted wins in the CBC last night.

Bellefontaine traveled to Springfield Shawnee to win a long, hard-fought five-game match against the Braves during their senior night.

The scores were 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 25-27, 23-21.

The Chiefs were led by Addy Passaro with 38 kills, 28 digs, and 14 blocks.

Tiffany LeVan recorded 61 assists, 12 digs, and 5 kills.

Ball kicks Chiefs past the Falcons Print E-mail

The Bellefontaine varsity boys team defeated Graham 5-1 at Dodd Stadium.

Robbie Ball led the attack with two goals and an assist.

Kraig Strayer recorded a goal and an assist.

Jordan Price and Nate Dolan each added a goal.

The Chiefs are 7-6-2 overall.

They will visit Tipp City Wednesday night.

Lakers and Tigers win league titles in volleyball Print E-mail

indian_lake_logo.jpgTwo local varsity volleyball teams clinched league titles with wins last night.

Indian Lake defeated Northwestern 25-19, 25-20, 25-19 to win the CBC Madriver Division title outright.

The Lakers are 19-2 overall and 9-0 in the CBC.

It was Senior Night for the Lakers and the 5 seniors turned in big performances.

Brooke Walton had 4 aces and 14 assists.

Kirsten Brademeyer recorded 9 assists and 9 digs.

Heather Allen had 10 digs.

Fawcett earns another Player of the Week Award Print E-mail

Former Benjamin Logan volleyball standout Nicole Fawcett has earned another honor.

The Penn State senior outside hitter was named the Big Ten Player of the Week late Monday.

Fawcett powered her team to a pair of conference wins last week, helping the Nittany Lions stay undefeated in matches as well as sets.

Against Indiana on Wednesday, the senior put down 13 kills on a .450 hitting percentage, also contributing one block, one assist and a match-high nine digs.
