The Indian Lake bowling teams hosted the Urbana Hillclimbers at T.P. Lanes on Tuesday.
The Lakers varsity boys team dropped their match 2,408 to 2,113.
Lance Clark bowled his best match of the year in the losing effort as he was match medalist rolling games of 208 and 180 for a 388 series. Heath Kindle chipped in with a 325, Lance Minnich rolled a 279, Kyle Gillen a 268 and Matt Schultz and Mark Kildow combined for a 280 series.

Karen Gillmor is joined by sons Connor, Adam, and Paul Michael as she takes the oath of office from Justice Stratton.
As the Ohio General Assembly opened its 128th General Assembly on Monday, Karen L. Gillmor (R-Tiffin) was sworn in for another term as the Senator for the 26th Senate District.
Gillmor was previously elected to two terms in the Ohio Senate, in 1992 and 1996, before accepting an appointment from then-Governor George Voinovich to serve on the State Employment Relations Board.

DeGraff Mayor Gary Comer
During Tuesday night's DeGraff Village Council meeting there was discussion on the Police Explorer Program, two ordinances were adopted, the 2009 President Pro-Temp was elected, committee positions were assigned and Mayor Comer looked ahead to 2009.
Chief of Police, George Piersall, announced during the meeting that the department was postponing the Police Explorer Program to a later date due to a slow economy and bad weather. No date has been scheduled. (Video interviews included.)

A few local basketball teams were in action last night.
The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls team handled Greeneview 38-11.
Mel Ward led the Tigers with 10 points.
Maria Daulton and Shonda Gieseke each had 8 points.
Alandra Cox led the defense with 6 steals.
WLS is 6-0.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls bowling team edged West Liberty-Salem 2,163 to 2,162 last night.
Brittney Poling paced the Raiders with games of 179 and 178 for a 357 series.
Bekah Wren fired a 172.
Allissa Allford shot a 168.
Kierstan Valentine recorded a 162.
Trinnity Jackson added a 158.
In varsity boys, the Tigers defeated the Raiders 2,417 to 2,145.
