Two major roadways in county on ODOT schedule PDF Print E-mail

road_construction_sign_on_6-3-08.jpgThe Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled roadwork on two major roads in Logan County.

On State Route 235, crews will be performing a bridge inspection on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Lane closures will be in effect at the south corporation limit of Quincy.

Traffic control, including signs and cones, will be set prior to the work zone to warn motorists of the upcoming lane closures. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times by the use of flaggers.

Local teen found dead at Indian Lake, foul play not suspected PDF Print E-mail

Just after four o'clock, a mother discovered her 18-year-old son unresponsive in a camper in campground "A".

Troopers from the Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol report that Jeb Wayne Bowman of Kenton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Honda HomeComing, or Logan County Rally at the Peak, will be held July 24th through July 26th.

This is the final Honda HomeComing involving Honda, but Logan County will continue to host many activities next July and beyond.

Honda HomeComing started in 1989, but Honda is shifting production of its motorcycles from the Marysville Plant to Japan. (Audio interview included.)

In his weekly newsletter, State Senator Larry Mumper says our state's revamped tax system is paying dividends.

Naturally, during the month of April, one of the biggest things on Ohioans', and all Americans' minds is taxes.  We spend the days and weeks before April 15 preparing our paperwork, fretting about our payments and scrutinizing the tax rates.  While dealing with taxes is a stressful responsibility, once April has passed, the thought of tax time is replaced by other, more pleasant ideas.
