School administrators and representatives from architects Fanning-Howey met with a group of concerned citizens, parents and school staff and teachers Monday night to begin forming a levy committee.

School board president Tracy McPherson says with overcrowding at the Lakeview Elementary and a recent rash of ceilings falling in at Huntsville School a new elementary facility is a must.

The board has not yet voted to put the proposed bond issue on the ballot, but McPherson says it will likely appear in November.
