Earlier this week, Judge Mark O'Connor sentenced six defendants in Logan County Common Pleas Court. Michael Justin, 38, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to eight months in prison for non-support. Aaron Slaven, 26, of DeGraff, was sentenced to six months in the West Central Community Correctional Facility, placed on community control for five years, and ordered to pay a $500 fine, attorney fees, and court costs for forgery. Steven Clark, 29, of Springfield, was sentenced to five years community control, and ordered to pay a $500 fine, attorney fees, and court costs for the charge of attempted trafficking in drugs. Narenda Patel, 55, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to one year probation and ordered to pay a $250 fine, after pleading guilty to failing to file sale tax reports. A sixty day jail sentence was suspended on the condition that he remain current on all sales tax filings and payments. Christa Crabtree, 27, of Quincy, pled guilty to theft and was placed on the prosecutor's pretrial diversion program. Kylejay Bassford, 22, of Russells Point, pled guilty to possession of drugs and was granted intervention. The defendant must complete substance abuse counseling and three years community control. Three defendants entered pleas. Victoria Hall, 37, of Forest, pled guilty to non-support of dependents. Misty Clark pled guilty to burglary and James Beckman pled guilty to three counts of breaking and entering. Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for May 12th. |
