The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team rallied to beat host Tipp City 5-3 in nine innings. The Chiefs scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3. Josh Kauffman had the game-tying hit. Adam Skelly had two hits and Brandon Winter smacked a double. Nolan Hunt earned the win. BHS is 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the CBC. You can hear more about the game with Coach Brunswick tonight on "Chalk Talk". The JV Chiefs defeated the Red Devils 6-2 at Blue Jacket. Greg Huffman and Michael Stockton each had two hits and two RBI's. Colt Scherer tossed a complete game to earn the win. The Indian Lake varsity baseball team beat host Northwestern 5-1. Senior Michael Morgan went the distance to earn the win. He struck out ten. Cody VanHorn blasted a triple and had three RBI's. The Lakers are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the CBC. The JV Lakers steamrolled Northwestern 16-6. Lance Clark was the winning pitcher and Troy Thieman belted a home run. The West Liberty-Salem JV baseball fell to Triad 12-9. The Tigers had 17 hits, but committed five errors in the first two innings. Chris White, Erik Thomas, Collin Link, Ryan Ropp, and T.R. Nisonger had multiple hit games. Cody Allen, Brad Frantz, Austin Lapp, and Logan Conklin added hits. WLS is 1-3 overall. The West Liberty-Salem varsity softball team edged rival Triad 2-1. Senior ace Emily Kauffman fired a complete game five-hitter to post the win. Abbey Ledford and Shae Blake had two hits apiece. The Tigers are 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the OHC. The Bellefontaine varsity softball team fell 1-0 in ten innings at Tipp City. Kara Morrison went the distance for the Chiefs. Morrison, Kelanie Garman, and Justine Peterson led the offense. BHS is 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play. The Indian Lake varsity softball team beat host Northwestern 5-1. Jill Wildermuth fired a four-hitter and struck out eight in the win. Julianne Minnich belted an over-the-fence home run and had two RBI's. Alyssa Wies was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI's. Chelsey Hoyles went 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Alain Pummell also went 2-3. Coach Cramer's team is 4-2, 1-1. The Waynesfield-Goshen varsity softball team lost 2-0 vs. Spencerville. Freshman pitcher Shelby Gilroy fired a three-hitter and struck out seven in the loss. The Benjamin Logan freshman softball team dropped a 4-3 decision against the Miami East JV team last night. Hayley Goodrich recorded 13 strikeouts. Jessica Davia had three hits. |
