Several Raiders and Chiefs shine in junior high track PDF Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgThe Benjamin Logan Junior High boys track team placed second with 70 points in a quad meet with Urbana, South Vienna, and St. Johns Catholic Wednesday.

Winning events for the Raiders were Quint Terry in the 400 dash with a time of 58.1 seconds, Caleb Titus in the 200 hurdles with a time of 28.0, Eric Olson in the high jump with a height of 5'2', Dylan McGarry in the pole vault with a height of 7'6", and the 4x400 relay team consisting of Caleb Titus, Patrick Graber, Eric Olson, and Quint Terry.  

Placing second for the team were Blaine Rickets in the mile with a time of 5:45, Eric Olson in the 800 with a time of 2:24, Dylan McGarry in the high jump with a height of 5'2", and Casey Greavue in the pole vault with a height of 7".

Also placing for the team were the following athletes: the 4x100 relay team placed third consisting of Landon Brown, Matt Wilt, Tarren Cozad, and Mitch Kenoyer, the 4x200 relay placed third consisting of Landon Brown, Matt Wilt, Tarren Cozad, and Mitch Kenoyer, Blaine Ricketts placed 5th in the 800 with a time of 2:41, Austin Ramge placed 5th in the discus with a throw of 91'9", and Dustin Bowers 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 35'5".

The Benjamin Logan Junior High girls track team placed second in a quad meet.

Urbana won the meet, South Vienna was third, and St. Johns came in 4th.

Scoring for Lady Raiders were:

Marissa Wilbur was 4th in the 100m hurdles

Kirston Milton was 5th in the 100m hurdles

Megan Thomas was 5th in the 100m hurdles

Brandi Young tied for 2nd in the 100m dash

Courtney Forsythe was 2nd in the 1600m run

Marissa Wilbur was 4th in the 200m hurdles

Courtney Forsythe was 2nd in the 800m run

Ciarra Wirick was 4th in the long jump

Caitlyn Craig was 4th in the discus

Beth Tremains was 3rd in the discus

Amber Hites was 2nd in the discus

Katlyn Brogan was 5th in the 1600m run

Lauren Johns was 4th in the 800m run

The 4x400m relay team of Logan Dunn, Kirston Milton, Ciarra Wirick and Courtney Forsythe finished 1st.

The Bellefontaine Middle School boys track team placed third at their own triangular meet with Indian Valley and Northridge last night.
