Luann Schmitmeyer

This year's winners include Benjamin Logan High School math teacher Luann Schmitmeyer, Benjamin Logan first grade teacher Kim Smith, and Indian Lake High School history teacher Brian Sutton.

The Rotary Club will host the 16th Annual Excellence in Teaching awards luncheon Monday, April 21st at noon at the Friendly Senior Center. (Pictures included.)

Rotarians say the program allows the club to give back to those who give so much to us. 

The club says our educators are providing for our future, and it is an honor to be able to recognize them for their hard work and accomplishments.

Kim Smith

Brian Sutton

"I have been fortunate enough to travel around the world and live among people from many cultures. I have seen that people can get along and that no matter how bad life can get, we are not alone and we can succeed. I teach kids that they don't need to get through the tough times alone."
