With over $5,800 of food purchases in Logan County to date, Angel Food Ministries is already helping several individuals and families.

With thanks to Discovery Center, First United Presbyterian Church, and St. Patrick's Church and those volunteers who are involved with the start up in our area, Angel Food Ministries is providing approximately $70 worth of food at a $30 price tag. (Video interview included.)

Started in Georgia by a minister and his family to help neighbors in need, Angel Food Ministries is providing a service to anyone who is interested in saving some money.

The program is NOT income based.

The First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine is opening its doors to serve as a host site.

Watch Anne Reames talk about the program, including how you can help.

Those interested in obtaining such items as bacon wrapped beef filets along with fresh and frozen vegetables, cereal, milk, and many other foods are encouraged to place their orders on the following days:

May 4th from 12:00 to 1:00, May 5th from 11:30 to 1:00, May 5th from 5:00 to 6:30 or May 13th from 11:30 to 12:30.

Cash, money order, and food stamps are the accepted forms of payment.

Orders will then be available for pick up the last Saturday of the month.

In May, pickup will be held on the 31st from ten until noon.

Those participating are asked to bring their own containers such as boxes or bags to take the food home.

Volunteers are needed for those wanting to help with this ministry.
