Lakers win in extras, Benjamin Logan blanks KR Print E-mail

The Indian Lake varsity baseball team edged Tecumseh 5-4 in ten innings.

Kaleb Draper earned the win in relief.

Tyler Maddox powered the Lakers attack with a two-run homer and a double.

Michael Morgan recorded a double and an RBI.

Kendall Lewis added a double.

Indian Lake is 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the CBC.

The JV Lakers lost to Tecumseh 8-7.

Indian Lake is 3-1.

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team lost 3-2 at Northwestern.

The Warriors rallied to score two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

BHS is 3-2 overall and 1-2 in league play.

The JV Chiefs beat the Warriors 10-3.

Derrick Schmidt was the winning pitcher.

Bellefontaine had 14 hits.

Jeremy Clifton led the way with three hits and three RBI's.

Benjamin Logan blanked Kenton Ridge 8-0 in varsity action at BLHS.

Jeremiah Kerns fired a complete game two-hitter.

Logan Conley belted a double.

Gage Cochran had a key two-run single to break open a close game.

The Raiders are 5-2, 2-1 and the Cougars are 3-2, 1-2.

Benjamin Logan is scheduled to play Northwestern tonight at Fifth Third Field. Game time is 7:30.

The Bellefontaine varsity softball team lost 1-0 at Northwestern.

Sophomore Kara Morrison tossed a three-hitter and suffered the loss.

Kelanie Garman paced the attack with a double.

Taylor Manahan and Charity Chandler each added a single.

The Chiefs play a doubleheader at Elida tomorrow.

Jill Wildermuth earned another win.

She also went 2-2 with a triple.

Michelle Herren and Kerstin Harmon had two hits apiece.

The Lakers are 5-2, 2-1.

They will host Lima Shawnee in a doubleheader tomorrow. Game time is one o'clock.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity softball team beat perennial power Lima Bath 7-3.

Senior Emily Kauffman was the winning pitcher.

WLS banged out fifteen hits.

Kauffman was 4-4.

Katelyn Kite had three hits and two RBI's.

Abbey Ledford and Haleigh Hickenbottom each had two hits.

The Tigers are 7-0, 3-0.

The Riverside varsity softball team handled Upper Scioto Valley 16-0.

Sara Emerich threw a five-inning perfect game and had 12 strikeouts.

Abby Heaberlin had three hits, including a home run and five RBI's.

Megan Hurley added three hits.

The Pirates are 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the NWCC.

The Benjamin Logan JV softball team beat Kenton Ridge 10-4.

The Raiders scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie.

Chelsea Keckler was 3-4 with a triple, a home run, and three RBI's.

Lauren Bycynski and Caroline Lehman each had two hits.

Kirsten Givens picked up the win and Bycynski recorded the save.

The Raiders are 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the CBC.

The Benjamin Logan freshman softball team drubbed Sidney 17-0.

Allissa Allford and Morgan Cline each had three hits.

Hayley Goodrich added two hits, including a double.

In 8th grade fastpitch, Indian Lake lost to Fairbanks 4-2.

Maci Jones struck out eight and walked seven.

Spencer Minnich was 2-2 and scored twice.

Allison Allen added a hit.

In 8th grade baseball, Indian Lake opened the season by going 3-0 this week.

The Lakers beat Columbus Grove 9-3, then outscored Allen East 14-10, and handled Fairbanks 16-5.
