Lady Tigers and Lady Chiefs take two PDF Print E-mail

play_ball.jpgThe West Liberty-Salem softball team and the Bellefontaine softball team won doubleheaders on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers pushed their record to 10-0 (4-0 OHC) with a sweep of the Urbana Hillclimbers.

West Liberty-Salem won game one 5-1 behind strong pitching from Emily Kauffman.

Haleigh Hickenbottom provided all the offense Kauffman needed, going 3-4 with a triple and 3 RBIs. Abbey Ledford also was hot with the bat with 3 hits.

The Lady Tigers rolled in game two, winning 10-1.

Emily Detwiler picked up the win, getting support from Brittany Mayse (2 hits, 3 RBIs), Abbey Ledford (2 hits), and Katie Detwiler (2 RBIs).

The Lady Tigers battle Cedarville Monday. Game time is 5:00 pm.

Bellefontaine swept host Elida Saturday.

The Chiefs outlasted the Bulldogs 5-4 in thirteen innings.

Senior Kelanie Garman ripped a double to drive in Courtney Smith in the top of the thirteenth.

Kara Morrison went the distance to earn the win.

Charity Chandler had a triple.

Brandy Conrad and Justine Peterson added doubles.  

BHS steamrolled Elida 11-3 in the second game.

The Chiefs took control by scoring ten runs in the third inning.

Justine Peterson earned the win.

Bellefontaine is 4-3 overall.

The Benjamin Logan JV softball team swept Fairbanks Saturday.

The Raiders won game one 6-1 and then won game two 6-3.

Lauren Bycynski tossed a one-hitter and a three-hitter to earn the wins.

She drove in the winning runs in the second game with a two-run double.

On the day, Caroline Lehmon went 5-6 with a double.

Deanna Dill had three hits and three RBI's.

Tessa Drumm recorded a triple and two RBI's.

Benjamin Logan is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the CBC.

The Benjamin Logan freshman softball team split a doubleheader against the Riverside JV softball team on Saturday.

The Pirates won the first game 13-3 and the Raiders won the second game 11-3.

Jessica Davia, Brooke Poppe, Dakota Plikerd, Allissa Allford, Chelsea Cox, Morgan Cline, Katrise Beech, Haylee Brewer, Cheyenne Kuhn, and Chelsea Raterman had hits for the Raiders.

Haley Goodrich pitched the second game and recorded six strikeouts.  

The Bellefontaine JV baseball team was on the road Saturday, splitting their doubleheader against New Albany.

The Chiefs won game one 12-5 behind an all-around performance from Austin Pulfer.

Pulfer picked up the win on the mound as well as going 3-3 at the plate, scoring 2 runs.

New Albany edged the Chiefs in game two, winning 3-2.

Colt Scherer was tagged with the loss. Conner Kellogg had two hits.

Bellefontaine plays Tecumseh on Monday.
