Injury accident near DeGraff PDF Print E-mail

sheriffs_patch.jpgTwo local teen drivers were involved in a minor injury crash near DeGraff Saturday morning.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a collision at the intersection of State Route 235 and State Route 47 just before seven-thirty.

Ashley Laber, 17, of DeGraff was driving a '92 Mercury Sable northbound on 235 and Benjamin Tyler, 18, of Quincy was driving a '95 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on 47.

Authorities report that Tyler pulled from the stop sign and struck the driver's side of Laber's car.

Her vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck the ditch.

Laber was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney by Riverside EMS.

Tyler was charged with failure to yield.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt. 

Both cars sustained heavy damage.
