The West Liberty-Salem Junior High Science Olympiad team finished 8th out of 40 teams in the state tournament held at Ohio State on Saturday.

Out of the 23 events and 2 trial events, the Tigers brought home 20 medals.

Elizabeth Gresh won 4 medals, including a gold in Rocks & Minerals.

Sister Rebekkah Gresh also won a gold in Rocks & Minerals.

Double medal winners included: Rebekkah Gresh, Megan Etgen, Alyssa Kauffman, Anna Naderer, & Levi Spencer.

Single medal winners included: Trevor Smoot, Zach Taylor, Aaron Scott, Elizabeth Hance, Nick Davis, & Darby Thomas.

The West Liberty-Salem Science Olympiad team also competed at a regional event in Piqua last month.
