Chiefs and Lakers shine in junior high track Print E-mail

indian_lake_logo.jpgThe Bellefontaine and Indian Lake Middle School track teams competed in tri-meets last night. 

The Bellefontaine boys team placed second, finishing ahead of Indian Valley but behind Urbana.

Placers for BMS were:

The Indian Lake boys team defeated Northwestern and St. Johns Lutheran at Indian Lake.

Placing for the Lakers were:

Shylar McIntire, 1st in the 400 meter run, 800 meter run, and pole vault.

Tanner Hinkle, 1st in the high jump and the long jump and second in the 400 meter run.

Dylan Bundy, 1st in the shot put and discus.

Sammy Ramos 1st in the 200 meter hurdles and 2nd in the 200 meter dash.

Keith Harvey, 2nd in the pole vault and 4th in the long jump.

Reese Newland, 2nd in the discus.

Derek Bingaman, 4th in the 800 meter run.

Bradley McIntire, 2nd in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run.

Austin Nance, 2nd in the 110 hurdles and 3rd in the pole vault.

The Indian Lake girls team placed 2nd in a tri-meet at home.

Northwestern won the meet with 74 points and the Lakers had 56 points.

St. Johns Lutheran came in third with 13 points.

Placing for the Lady Lakers were:

Ashley Collins:  1st in pole vault (6'6"), 1st in long jump (13'5"), 2nd in 400 meter dash (1:13)

Ashley Albright:  1st in high jump (4'0"), 2nd in 800 meter run (2:50), 3rd in 1600 meter run (6:24)

Jaime Shouse:  2nd in high jump (3'10")

Erika Kysenceder:  1st in 200 meter hurdles (36.7), 3rd in 100 meter hurdles (20.9)

Kayla Beltz:  4th in 400 meter dash (1:17), 4th in 800 meter run (3:05)

Jessica Green:  1st in 200 meter dash (31.1) and 1st in 400 meter dash (1:11)

Katie Ray:  2nd in 200 meter dash (31.9)

The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Megan Thomas, Jaime Shouse, Trista Helmlinger and Ellie Schwieterman placed 1st with a time of 2:15.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Megan Thomas, Erika Kysenceder, Katie Ray, and Jessica Green placed 2nd with a time of 59.6.

Indian Lake competes in a tri-meet at Benjamin Logan tomorrow.
