Raiders win tri-meet Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgTwo of our local schools competed in a junior high track meet at Benjamin Logan last night.

The Benjamin Logan boys team won the meet with 57.5 points, defeating London and Indian Lake.

Winning events for the Raiders were Eric Olson in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, Quint Terry in the long jump with a leap of 15' 10", Caleb Titus in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.2 seconds, the 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Max Erwin, Matt Wilt, Ed Kenoyer, and Tarren Cozad with a time of 55.7 seconds, the 4x200 relay consisting of Max Erwin, Matt Wilt, Ed Kenoyer, and Casey Greavu with a time of 2:00, and the 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Caleb Titus, Eric Olson, Dustin Bowers, and Quint Terry with a time of 4:08.

Also placing were Dylan McGarry 4th in the high jump, Dustin Bowers 2nd in the shot put, Austin Ramge 3rd in the shot put, Austin Ramge 3rd in the disc, Trevor Newland 4th in the pole vault, Patrick Graber 2nd in the 110 hurdles, Quint Terry 4th in the 110 hurdles, Blaine Ricketts 3rd in the 1600, Patrick Graber 4th in the 400, Eric Olson 4th in the 800, Paul Larsen 3rd in the 200 dash, and Brent Weiss 4th in the 200 dash.

Indian Lake finished third.

Placers for the Lakers were:

Shylar McIntire, 1st in the 400 meter run and pole vault and 2nd in the 800 meter run

Tanner Hinkle, 1st in the 200 meter dash and 2nd in the high jump and long jump

Dylan Bundy, 1st in the shot put and 2nd in the discus

Sammy Ramos 3rd 110 hurdles and 200 meter hurdles and 4th in the long jump

Keith Harvey, 2nd in the pole vault

Austin Nance, 3rd in the pole vault

Reese Newland, 4th in the discus

Bradley McIntire, 4th in the 1600 meter run

The Lakers compete next Wednesday at the Springfield Shawnee Invitational.

The Indian Lake girls team placed third.

Team scores were:  London 69, Benjamin Logan 46, Indian Lake 38

Placing for the Lady Lakers were:

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Megan Thomas, Erika Kysenceder, Katie Ray, and Jessica Green placed 2nd with a time of 1:00.

Makenzie Taylor:  2nd in 400 meter dash (1:13), 2nd in 100 meter dash (15.0)

Kayla Beltz:  3rd in 800 meter run (3:01), 2nd in 1600 meter run (6:33)

Jessica Green:  1st in 200 meter dash (30.4)

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Jessica Green, Makenzie Taylor, Ashley Albright, and Ashley Collins placed 1st with a time of 4:46.

Ashley Collins:  1st in long jump (13'2"), 1st in pole vault (6')

Katie Ray:  3rd in long jump (11' ¾")

Jordan Keckler:  4th in long jump (10' 5")

Taylor Huffman: 2nd in shot put ( 22' 9")

Benjamin Logan had several girls place, including:

Marissa Wilbur was 1st in the 100m hurdles

Kirston Milton was 4th in the 100m hurdles

Ciarra Wirick was 3rd in the 100m dash

Courtney Forsythe was 1st in the 1600m run

Katlyn Brogan was 3rd in the 1600m run

Marissa Wilbur was 2nd in the 200m hurdles

Courtney Forsythe was 2nd in the 800m run

Lauren Johns was 4th in the 800m run

Lauren Johns was 4th in the 400m dash

Megan Thomas was 2nd in the long jump

Caitlyn Craig was 4th in the discus

Amber Hites was 3rd in the discus

Caitlyn Craig was 1st in the shot put

Amber Hites was 3rd in the shot put

Beth Tremains was 4th in the shot put

Madison Leis was 2nd in the pole vault

The 4x200m relay team of Monica Mannings, Ciarra Wirick, Madison Leis and Brandi Young finished 2nd.

The 4x400m relay team of Kirsten Milton, Ciarra Wirick, Marissa Wilbur and Courtney Forsythe finished 2nd.
