Two injury accidents near Huntsville PDF Print E-mail

ohio_state_patrol.gifThe Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to a pair of minor injury accidents near Huntsville Monday.

Troopers report that two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 33 and State Route 274 just before eight a.m. in thick fog.

A Ford F550 box truck driven by Roger Blankenship, 34, of Richwood turned in front of a Ford Excursion operated by Shelli Gross, 36, of Russells Point.

Blankenship was westbound on 33 attempting to make a left turn on to 274.

Gross was eastbound on 33 and hit Blankenship, knocking the box truck on to its side.

Gross was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS.

Blankenship was not injured, but he was charged with failure to yield.

The patrol was sent to an accident on the northside of Huntsville shortly before one p.m.

Authorities report that two cars collided at the intersection of State Route 117 and State Route 274.

Brandi Ford, 28, of Lakeview and Lacey Forsythe, 19, of Lewistown were both northbound on 117.

Ford was attempting to make a left turn on to 274 when her Chevy Corsica was rear ended by Forsythe's Chevy Cavalier.

Ford was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Huntsville EMS.

Forsythe was not hurt, but she was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.
