Raiders, Chiefs win junior high track meets Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgThe Benjamin Logan junior high boys track team won a quad meet with 89 points on Monday night against Ridgemont, Hardin Northern, and Fairlawn.

Winning events for the Raiders were Eric Olson in the 110 hurdles in a time of 18.6, Caleb Titus in the 100 dash in a time of 12.4, Caleb Titus in the 200 hurdles in a time of 28.0, Quint Terry in the 200 dash in a time of 25.3, Quint Terry in the long jump with a leap of 16' 6", Dylan McGarry in the pole vault with a height of 8 feet, and the 4x400 relay team of Caleb Titus, Eric Olson, Dustin Bowers, and Quint Terry in a time of 4:02.

Placing second for the team were Patrick Graber in the 110 hurdles with a time of 19.1, Blaine Ricketts in the 1600 in a time of 5:39, Patrick Graber in the 400 dash in a time of 1:02.5, the 4x200 relay of Tarren Cozad, Matt Wilt, Brent Weiss, and Casey Greavu in a time of 1:57, Eric Olson in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, and Bryan Newland in the pole vault with a height of 8 feet.

Also placing for the team were Bryan Newland in the 110 hurdles, Landon Brown and Trevor Newland in the 100 dash, the 4x100 relay of Tarren Cozad, Matt Wilt, Ed Kenoyer, and Brent Weiss, Bryan Newland in the 200 hurdles, Patrick Graber, Blaine Ricketts, and Cory Leiter in the 800, Paul Larsen in the 200, Dustin Bowers and Austin Ramge in the discus, Dustin Bowers in the shot put, and Dylan McGarry and Trevor Newland in the high jump.

The following are the results of the middle school girls track meet held at Ridgemont last night. Benjamin Logan won the meet with 74 points, Hardin Northern was 2nd   with 73 points, Ridgemont was 3rd with 58 points, and Fairlawn was 4th with 17 points.

Scoring for Benjamin Logan Middle School Girls was as follows:

Marissa Wilbur was 3rd in the 100m hurdles

Megan Kinney was 4th in the 100m hurdles

Ciarra Wirick was 3rd in the 100m dash

Courtney Forsythe was 1st in the 1600m run

Katlyn Brogan was 5th in the 1600m run

The 4x100m relay team of Kelsey Rice, Logan Dunn, Monica Mannings, and Brandi Young was 1st

Marissa Wilbur was 1st in the 200m hurdles

Abbi Frazier was 5th in the 200m hurdles

Courtney Forsythe was 1st in the 800m run

Lauren Johns was 4th in the 800m run

Lauren Johns was 5th in the 400m dash

Kirsten Milton was 2nd in the 400m dash

Monica Mannings was 4th in the 200m dash

Megan Thomas was 2nd in the long jump

Morgan Allen was 4th in the long jump

Amber Hites was 3rd in the discus

Amber Hites was 4th in the shot put

Kelsey Rice was 1st in the high jump

Megan Thomas tied for 2nd in the high jump

Madison Leis and Kirsten Milton tied for 3rd in the pole vault

The 4x200m relay team of Monica Mannings, Ciarra Wirick, Madison Leis, and Brandi Young finished 2nd

The 4x400m relay team of Kirsten Milton, Ciarra Wirick, Marissa Wilbur, and Courtney Forsythe finished 1st.

The BMS boys track team defeated Kenton in a dual meet last night 71-47. Placers for BMS were:
