Local students receive scholarships PDF Print E-mail

Tuesday evening at the Logan County Educational Service Center Board Meeting, four students from Logan County were presented the Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award.

Eligible students must demonstrate outstanding academic acheivement as indicated by their high school grades, test scores, and awards.

A recipient from each school district within the county was selected. One of those students was chosen as the overall county recipient.

Kelsi Stover from Benjamin Logan is the county recipient. She will be attending the University of Toledo in the fall, and has been accepted by the Medical College of Ohio. Kelsi will be honored again at the Franklin B. Walter Award Luncheon in Columbus.

From Indian Lake, recipient Tonya Haley will be attending the University of Toledo, majoring in physical therapy.

Bellefontaine student Sarah Rody will be attending Goshen College. Sarah will be majoring in math with the hopes of becoming a college professor.

Jacob Minnich from Riverside is also a recipient, but was unable to attend the board meeting.

Each student received a $100 scholarship made possible by the Logan County Education Foundation.
