Dunn sparks Chiefs in junior high track, McIntire and Green pace the Lakers Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgThe Bellefontaine Middle School boys track team placed 2nd in a field of 13 teams last night at the Springfield Shawnee Invitational. Top teams were:  Fairborn Baker with 93.5, Bellefontaine with 80, and Springfield Shawnee with 71.

The Indian Lake Middle School girls track team finished 9th out of 13 teams.

Team scores were:  Indian Valley 108, Northridge 97, Springfield Shawnee 90, Bellefontaine 52, Springfield City 52, South Vienna 42, Tecumseh 42, Yellow Springs 27, Indian Lake 26, Fairborn Baker 19, Miami View 13, Mad River 10, Shawnee Black 4.

Placing for the Lady Lakers were:

Makenzie Taylor:  7th in 100 meter dash (14.5)

Ashley Albright:  5th in 1600 meter run (6:07), 7th in 800 meter run (2:51)

Erika Kysenceder:  7th in 200 meter hurdles (36.2)

Jessica Green:  3rd in 200 meter dash (29.6)

Ashley Collins:  7th in long jump (13' 2")

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Jessica Green, Makenzie Taylor, Ashley Albright and Ashley Collins placed 2nd with a time of 4:41.

The Indian Lake boys track team finished seventh at the Springfield Shawnee Invitational.

Placing for the Lakers were:

Shylar McIntire, 1st pole vault ,  2nd in the 800 meter run and 6th in the 110 hurdles.

Tanner Hinkle, 4th in the 200 meter hurdles and high jump and 8th in the long jump.

Dylan Bundy, 8th in the shot put and 4th in the discus.

Keith Harvey, 5th  in the Pole Vault.
