The sheriff's office responded to a serious injury accident Friday afternoon on Route 68 about five miles north of Bellefontaine (near Hoghead).

A 1994 SUV crashed shortly after two o'clock.

One person was taken by Lifeflight to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

No name has been released and the wreck remains under investigation.

Huntsville Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

The Bellefontaine Police Department was sent to a two-vehicle accident Friday night in the 1700 block of South Main Street (near McDonald's).

A northbound car struck a minivan head-on around eight-thirty.

Some of the occupants in the van were injured.

Bellefontaine Fire and EMS assisted.

The accident tied up traffic near the Fontaine Plaza for about an hour.

Police have not released any other details.

Earlier this week, there were two serious motorcycle accidents in Logan County.

Gregg Boyd of Urbana is improving after crashing a Harley-Davidson on County Road 1 Wednesday night.

The State Highway Patrol reports that Boyd has been upgraded from critical to serious condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
