Bellefontaine Board of Education
The Bellefontaine Board of Education met in regular session Monday evening.

Per the treasurer Keith Krieger's report, the board approved the monthly financial reports, including a Tax Deferred Annuity Program Common Remitter Agreement along with a Tax Deferred Annuity Program Provider agreement. (Video interview included.)

The tax deferred annuity program, which will come into effect 01/09 is regulated under the federal government and will be an arrangement with National Trust and ING Financial Advisors, LLC.

ING will then become the common remitter to approximately 15 to 16 other companies.

At no charge, ING will also follow the program as required by the Internal Revenue Service for the Tax Deferred Annuity Program Provider Requirements.

After an executive session, Superintendent Dr. Larry Anderson commented on a resolution agreement with a high school teacher.

The board also approved limited contracts for the 2008-2009 school year:

One Year:

Jason Calton, Amanda Fulkerson, Katherine Gildow, Sheryl Lewis, James Roby

Two Year:

Joanne Aburto, Mindy Zirkle

Three Year:

Lisa Asman Plank, Nellie Schmidt

Five Year:

Jill Carey, Jill K. Cronkleton, Marilyn Esh, Janet Fulton, Rita Hall, Brian LeCrone, Christopher Schmidt, Desnee Wolters, Karen Young

Also approved was the appointment of Tina Ravenscraft as a bus aide.

In the Building and Grounds Report, work continues on the roof at the board office and the roof of the maintenance building.

The high school parking lot is scheduled to be recovered and the track will be sprayed to extend the life 5 to 7 years. Western Intermediate will be in need of a new modular as upcoming class sizes are expected to increase.

The board's next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Office.
