Indian Lake, WLS earn top seeds in softball, Raiders to meet the Lakers in baseball PDF Print E-mail

indian_lake_logo.jpgThe Southwest District held the sectional baseball and softball tournament draw Sunday.

In baseball, many of our local schools are part of the Division II Urbana sectional.

Kenton Ridge was awarded the top seed.

Bellefontaine was voted the Number 7 seed. The Chiefs will host Milton-Union on Tuesday, May 13th.

Fifth-seeded Benjamin Logan will host sixth-seeded Indian Lake on May 13th. The winner will take on #3 seed Urbana on May 15th.

Tipp City was voted the #2 seed and Northwestern was awarded the four seed.

In Division III, West Liberty-Salem earned the #2 seed and they have a first round bye.

The Tigers will host either Northridge or National Trail on May 14th.

In Division IV, 9th-seeded Riverside will host #10 seed Jackson Center on May 13th at five p.m. The winner advances to battle second-seeded Covington on May 15th.

Defending state champ Ft. Loramie was voted the top seed.

In softball, two local schools earned the top seed.

In Division II, Indian Lake received the #1 seed.

The Lakers have a bye and await the winner of Springfield Shawnee vs. Dayton Carroll. Coach Cramer's team will host the winner on May 15th.

#8 seed Benjamin Logan will host #9 seed Graham on May 13th.

Bellefontaine has a bye. The fifth-seeded Chiefs will take on either Kenton Ridge or Springfield South on May 15th.

In Division III, West Liberty-Salem was awarded the top seed. The unbeaten Tigers will host Preble Shawnee on May 14th.

In Division IV, perennial power Triad earned the #2 seed. The Cardinals will host Mississinawa Valley on May 13th.

Riverside was voted the number 5 seed.

The Pirates have a bye and will play either Houston or Emmanuel Christian on May 15th.
