bellefontaine_police_badge_on_11-07.jpgTwo Bellefontaine teenagers were charged with alcohol-related counts after a disturbance at Blue Jacket Park last evening.

The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Jeff Dewes, 17, was lying on the ground between the baseball and softball diamonds just before six o'clock.

Dewes was unresponsive, which prompted officers to call for a squad.

He told students that he took twelve shots of alcohol.

Dewes was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

Derek Brown, 17, admitted to taking three shots.

Both boys were charged with underage consumption and public intoxication.

Brown was released to his mother.

JV baseball and softball games were in progress during the incident.
