Judge Mark O'Connor sentenced six offenders and took one guilty plea earlier this week in Logan County Common Pleas Court.

Berry Emberling, 44, of Lakeview was sentenced to three years in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections for one count of gross sexual imposition.

He was classified as a Tier II sex offender with a duty to register with the sheriff for twenty-five years. In addition, he was ordered to be on post release control for five years after his prison sentence.

Steven Briley, 43, of Huntsville was sentenced to three years in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections for violating a protection order.

Douglas Boggs, 26, of Bellefontaine previously pled guilty to non-support of dependents and was sentenced to five years community control and ordered to pay child support, attorney fees, and court costs.

Kendra Henry, 30, of Bellefontaine was sentenced to five years community control, ordered to obtain drug counseling and to pay a $250 fine, attorney fees and court costs for possession of drugs.

John Stevens, 42, of Bellefontaine was sentenced to five years community control, ordered to complete 100 hours of community service, drug counseling and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, attorney fees and court costs for trafficking in marijuana.

Matthew Haley, 23, of Bellefontaine pled guilty to having a weapon under disability and tampering with evidence. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing is scheduled for June 9th.
