A few of our local high school track teams were in action last night.

West Liberty-Salem's boys and girls track and field teams both finished second at a six-team meet at Graham.

Boys Team Scores:  1st Greenville 147, 2nd WLS 118, 3rd Graham 108, 4th Miami East 70, 5th Greenon 63, 6th Bradford 17

Nate Bratka and Joe Yoder powered the Tigers with two individual wins apiece. Bratka placed first in the shot put and discus and Yoder placed first in the high jump and 110 meter hurdles. Also placing first for the Tigers were Lance Kitchen in the 300 meter hurdles and the 4x100 relay team of Kitchen, Jake Anderson, Seth Baker and Brice Baumgardner.

Freshman Courtney Karg powered the Lady Tigers with a first place finish in the 400 meter dash.  Karg also anchored the winnning 4x800 relay team with teammates Hannah Hartsel, Sarah Murphy and Kelsie Markin and the 4x400 relay team with teammates Hartsel, Kaycee Daniels and Heather Bumbalough. Michelle Mack added a first place in the 200 meter dash.

The Tigers host the King Classic Invitational sponsored by King's Feed and Supply on Friday with field events starting at 4:45 p.m and running events getting underway at 5:45 p.m.

Bellefontaine swept a tri-meet against Indian Lake and Tecumseh last night.
