baseballs.jpgLittle League season in across the city and the county started last night.

Bellefontaine #1 sponsored by Lion's Club defeated  Belle Center 7-4.

Pitching for Bellefontaine were Colton Wreede, Devin Legge, & Jordan Baughman. They combined for 14 strikeouts.

Pitching for Belle Center were  Trent Kramer, Alic Bickham, & Cole Cox. They combined for 10 strikeouts.

Bellefontaine got hits from Jacob Houchin who was (2-2) with a triple and Collen Pulfer also added a triple.

For Belle Center, Cole Cox had a triple & Parker Codora was (2-3) with a  double and Alic Bickham added a double.

Maple Leaf defeated West Mansfield.

For Maple Leaf, Tristin Tillman got the win on the mound.

Offensively, Maple Leaf was led by Tillman 2-3, Nick Burton 2-3 w/ a triple, Matt Entsminger 2-3 w/ a double and Skyler Heilman w/ a double.

For West Mansfield Tyler Tevis was 2-3.

Washington SS PowerWash beat West Liberty 4-1.

SS Powerwash used the pitching of Reyse Wallbrown, Kurt Crockett, LJ Henderson, and Ivan Reichert to post the win.

At the plate, Kurt Crockett 3 for 3, Ethan Downing 2 for 3, Kyle Roby 2 for 3, Quenton Staley 2 for 2, Reyse Wallbrown 1 for 3, LJ Henderson 1 for 2, Tyler Rode 1 for 2, Dakota Long 1 for 2.

Pitching for West Liberty was Ben Bowden with 3 strikeouts and Kyle Brunner recorded 2 strikeouts.

Hitting for West Liberty was Ben Burden 2 for 2, Brandon Holycross 2 for 2, Eli Thornburg 1 for 2, Austin Randall 1 for 2, Landon Williams 1 for 2, and Tommy Cotterman 1 for 2.

Huntsville #1, CJ Engineering, clipped East Liberty/Middleburg 6-5.

Simon Kirkpatrick had two hits and scored the winning run while Brandon Gillen and Cole Wurster added 1 hit each. Jacob Hulbert, Alex Bozman and Simon Kirkpatrick combined for 11 strikeouts on the mound.

In Farm League from Monday, Ridgemont #1 defeated Washington #1 7-0.

Wyatt Warren went five innings to earn the win. He recorded seven strikeouts.

Trent Myers and Dylan Bricker each had two hits and a double.
