Ohio Hi-Point's Top 15 Student Scholars and their Honored Educators and Superintendent

The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center held their First Annual Student Scholars and Honored Educators Recognition Banquet Thursday evening.

The top 15 academic students each wrote essays about their most honored educator. Ohio Hi-Point Superintendent Kim Wilson-Davis said that this night of recognition will be a "new tradition." (Video interview included.)

Not only were students recognized for their achievements, but in honor of Education Week, teachers were also honored.

Watch High School Director Nila Marquard thank the many educators that have made a difference.

Praise came from students such as a tearful Katie Hoying, Health Technology, who thanked her educator, Nancy Decker, GRADS, and Ohio Hi-Point. Hoying said, "They believed in me in the beginning, in the middle and in the end."

Mike Edwards, Principal from Riverside, along with Benjamin Tyler, Architectural & Mechanical Design student, thanked retiring Riverside Math teacher Dennis Harshbarger for "the thousands of lives he has touched."
