A driver and a young passenger were injured in a rollover crash on State Route 235 north of Lakeview yesterday.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that a '96 Saturn driven by Carmen Smith, 32, of Lakeview went off the right side of the road and overturned near Blackhawk Drive just before noon.

Smith and five-year-old Kelsey Matthews of Belle Center suffered minor injuries.

They were taken to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS.

Smith was using her seat belt and Matthews was protected by a child restraint.

Smith was cited for failure to control.

Her car was heavily damaged.
