State Rep. Tony Core

State Representative Tony Core had much to say Friday morning on "Zell on the Bell" on 1390 WBLL.

Among the many topics discussed were State Attorney General Marc Dann and the Miami River Improvement Project in Logan County.

(Audio clips included in story)

In his monthly visit to "Zell on the Bell" Friday State Representative Tony Core took little time in discussing the State's biggest story this week, Marc Dann.  The State Attorney General has insisted he hasn't done anything to merit impeachment and will not resign his office despite much of his own party calling for him to leave.  Representative Core said the Statehouse has had quite a week looking into the legal side of impeachment since this hasn't been done in decades in Ohio.  He also had these comments on Dann's decision not to resign and the role the Governor has played in this process Tony Core on Marc Dann and about the Governor Tony Core on the Governor's decision in the Marc Dann case

The other big topic brought up on the show was the current situation with the Miami River Improvement Project.  Core will be a Logan County Commissioner come January 1, 2009, as he is running without opposition in November.  Core believes educating the people of Logan County is the top priority because this is a state law that goes back many years.  Now the legal processes are being challenged and each day seems to be breaking in to new territory for the counties.  Core had a long explanation for the history of this state wide law and what has transpired leading up to the lastest meeting this past Tuesday Tony Core on the Miami River Improvement Project (this runs about 10 minutes).

Listen to Zell on the Bell every Friday morning at 9:00 on 1390 WBLL.

State Representative Tony Core will be on Zell on the Bell again in June on 1390 WBLL.
