sheriffs_patch.jpgThe Belle Center Market was hit by a pickup truck yesterday afternoon.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that '99 Dodge driven by Cliff May, 38, of Bellefontaine struck the front wall of the grocery just after three o'clock.

Deputies report that May drove over a parking block and then hit the building.

He said his brakes went out.

The truck was not damaged, but the building suffered extensive damage.

No one was injured.

Because the accident happened on private property, no citations were issued.
