DeGraff #1 Pony League team remains undefeated Print E-mail

baseballs.jpgSeveral area Little League, Pony League, softball and tee ball teams played Thursday evening.

DeGraff #1 routed Belle Center 18-5 in a battle of undefeated Pony League teams.

Chuck Gariety went the distance on the mound and picked up his second win.

Bryce Hodge, Chad Keith, Tyler Balser and Nicholas Cotterman each had two hits.

DeGraff #1 is now 4-0 on the season.

Little League

DeGraff defeated Belle Center 8-3.

Joseph Corwin went two-for-two with a home run, a double and four RBI's for the winners. Tanner Lane had two hits and Kyle Stobbe drove in two runs.

Stobbe, Corwin, and Lane also combined for 13 strikeouts.

For Belle Center, Parker Codora had a pair of doubles.

Codora and Dickham combined for seven strikeouts.

Washington SS Powerwash edged East Liberty-Middleburg 11-9.

For Powerwash, Reyse Wallbrown, Kurt Crockett, Dustin Roby, and Ivan Reichert pitched well.

Kyle Roby went three-for-three.

Wallbrown and Crockett both had three hits.

Dustin Roby and Tyler Rode added two hits apiece.

For East Liberty-Middleburg, Kyle Ackley, Dalton Greene, Jeremy Brisson, Austin Cline, and Cody Rice all had multiple hits.

Rice, Brisson, and Cline pitched.

Bellefontaine #1 beat Huntsville #2 14-4.

Cody Hullinger and Lane Kiser combined for six strikeouts.

Jordan Baughman went three-for-three and smacked a home run. Collen Pulfer had three hits, including a triple. Devin Legge hit a homer. Jacob Houchin and Aeryton both had three-baggers.

For Huntsville, Caleb Meadows, Cole Wurster, and Simon Kirkpatrick pitched.

Maple Leaf defeated Ridgemont.

Nick Heydinger and Tristin Tillman combined to strike out 11 batters in the win.

Matt Entsminger had two hits and two RBI's.

For Ridgemont, Deric Cobb had two hits.

Bellefontaine #3 AcuSport ran past Huntsville #2 12-4.

For AcuSport, Jarrod Houchin had four hits and two RBI's.

Joe Oliver and Andrew Mitchell each recorded three hits and two RBI's.

Kody Conner added two triples and two RBI's.

Farm League

West Liberty #1 McDaniel's Auto Repair defeated Huntsville #1 14-4.

Pitchers Dominic Smith and Cole McDaniel combined for fourteen strikeouts in the win.

Hunter Stewart, Brandon Upton, Mason Woodruff, Tanner Workman, and Smith had hits.

For Huntsville, Drew Thomas had a hit. 

Senior League Softball

Butler's Spouting slid by Cuttin' Loose 16-14 in extra innings.

Addie Brown picked up the win on the mound.

Kirsten Daum, Sabreena Escamella, and Emma Earick had two hits apiece.

For Cuttin' Loose, Julia Hunt belted a grand slam and Kyra Kane hit a triple.

Junior League Softball

McDonald's beat National City Bank 8-3.

Savannah Brison picked up the win and recorded eight K's.

Macy Neff had two hits, including a home run. Jenna VanHouse had a hit and a big RBI.

Masonic Temple earned a tie.

Tory Wreede had a double, a triple, and four RBI's.

Madelyn Levine recorded a hit and two RBI's.

Catcher Anya Smith played a strong game, too. 

Tee Ball

Huntsville #4 Sunderhaus Insurance and West Liberty #4 McCulla's Sew and Vac played to a 23-23 tie.

Isaac Roby led Huntsville #4 with a triple and a double. Landon Beaver and Brian Downey each doubled and scored two runs.

For West Liberty #4, Bianca Reames had a triple, crossed the plate four times and came up with a big defensive play. Jacob Wilcoxin and Julia Reames both had doubles.
