He lapped every driver except second-place finisher Brad Coons and third-place finisher Jim Lewis Jr. (Photos included courtesy of Peggy Isaacs.) Saturday's races were dedicated to the memory of Shady Bowl Speedway drivers who have passed away. Perry's father Stan, a former driver, passed away last year. Jim Lewis Jr. led wire-to-wire to take the checkered flag in the 25-lap American Modified Series feature. Perry finished second and Rob Yelton crossed the finish line third.
Jim Lewis Jr. won his first Modified feature of 2008.
Dayton driver Kenny Snyder grabbed the checkered flag in the Pro-4s for his first win of 2008. Randy Human finished second and Dave Sage took third.
Kenny Snyder held off Randy Human to win the Pro-4 main.
In the sport stocks, Aaron Pippin cruised into victory lane. Greg Sparks took second and Rodney Roush came in third.
Aaron Pippin powered his Chevy to the 20-lap sport stock win.
Covington's Brandon Bayse held off veteran driver Bill Hostetler to win by less than a car length in the Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association 20-lap feature. Daniel Wirrick placed third.
Brandon Bayse was the winner of the Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association main.
Josh Sage won the 20-lap compact feature. Mark Parker took second and Mike Shaffer finished third.

Racing starts at 7 p.m. next Saturday night. The American Modified Series, Late Models, sport stocks, compacts and Pro-4s will be in action. It will be a double points night for all classes. |
