Good efforts for Huntsville came from David Haley with a catch on a pop-up behind home plate and a solid base hit. Noah Reynolds and Noah Hurley also had great games. Ridgemont #1 knocked off Quincy 6-3. Trace Racey, Andrew Freshcorn, and Brady Lester for Ridgemont and Josh Gracey for Quincy all had base hits. PONY LEAGUE: DeGraff #1 Citizens Bank of DeGraff beat Ridgemont 5-3. Scott Shreve went the distance to earn the win. Bryce Hodge and Chad Keith led the attack with two hits apiece. Joshua Purtee drove in the winning run. Citizens Bank of DeGraff is 5-0. FARM LEAGUE: The Huntsville AcuSport farm team recently competed in the Scott Harmon Memorial Tournament in Elida. AcuSport won two out of three games. Huntsville beat Wapakoneta 8-5. Dylan Albright and Kyle Shoffner had extra base hits. Alex Jacobs recorded eight strikeouts to earn the win. Tyler Reprogle and Kyle Shoffner combined for six strikeouts in relief. Huntsville lost to tournament winner Cairo 8-3. Zane Hakes and Caleb Smelcer had extra base hits. Tyler Reprogle recorded four K's. AcuSport then beat Payne 9-4. Andrew Hulbert, Alex Jacobs, Tyler Reprogle, and Parker Grothaus had extra base hits. Caleb Smelcer added two hits and three RBI's. Dalton Faler earned the win and struck out three. On Monday night, AcuSport defeated Lakeview #2. For Huntsville, Parker Grothaus led the attack with a home run and three doubles. Andrew Hulbert and Zane Hakes added homers. Dylan Albright, Tyler Reprogle, Caleb Smelcer, and Dalton Faler recorded extra base hits. Tyler Huffer shined on the mound by striking out the side in one inning of relief. Jacobs and Grothaus combined for seven K's. For Lakeview #2, Devin Draper, Dylan Beltz, and Ethan Zorn teamed up for seven strikeouts. AcuSport is 7-0. West Liberty #1 McDaniel's Auto Repair cruised past West Mansfield 21-3. For McDaniel's Auto Repair, Ben Hyland and Brandon Upton combined to throw a no-hitter. They struck out eleven. Upton went 4-4 with a triple and a home run. Hyland belted two home runs. Dusty Moell had a double and a triple. Dominic Smith had three hits and Tanner Workman added a triple. For West Mansfield, Curtis Gadson pitched a good game and Sierra Corbin played outstanding defense. DeGraff #2 Comer Insurance outscored Ridgemont #2 17-7. For Comer Insurance, Bill Walters, Ross Stevens, Matthew Burchett, and Conner Cotterman tallied fifteen strikeouts. Cody Dearwester and Nicholas Smith belted home runs. Blaine Walters and Lucas Roderick each drove in runs. Burchett, Stevens, and Cotterman delivered extra base hits. For Ridgemont, Zack Gibson and Alex Ramsey had two hits apiece. Cade McKinley and Zachery Jenkins each tripled. Zanesfield #1 Sports Plus handled West Liberty #3 15-1. For Sports Plus, Dylin Harshfield, Hayes Roebuck, Mitchell Fink, and Joel Dixon combined for twelve strikeouts. Jared Abbott led the offense with a two-run homer and a single. TJ Fink recorded a triple and a double. Travis Bryant and Josiah Kratz added hits. For West Liberty #3, Dillon Callicoat had a hit and scored. East Liberty A.G. Boogher ran past Huntsville #1 21-6. For A.G. Boogher, Austin Noel and Josh Whitten each had a hit and scored three runs. Logan Cox scored twice. Noel and Whitten pitched well. For Huntsville #1, Justin Kindle was 3-3 with two RBI's. Nick Crockett had a hit, an RBI, and scored a run. Belle Center #2 Advanced Technology Products handled DeGraff #3 Springhills Auto Wrecking 24-6. For Advanced Technology Products, pitchers Wyatt Bishop, Isaac Bednarki, Aaron Pennington, and Curtis Hinkle combined for nine strikeouts. Andrew Bickham led the offense with a home run. Jared Nicol, Caleb Shonk, and Pennington drove in runs. For Springhills Auto Wrecking, pitchers Hunter Goings, Ryan Downing, Cory Lauderback, Andrew Wright, and Hank Harshbarger teamed up for seven K's. Jon Norris, Evan Downing, Xavier Coppel, Goings, and Downing recorded singles. West Liberty #2 Nelson Insurance breezed past Rushsylvania 19-1. For Nelson Insurance, Justin Salyers posted the win and struck out nine. At the plate, Salyers was 3-3. Dylan Leopard had a home run and a double. Dalton Randall and Ryan Ewing each had two hits. For Rushsylvania, Dylan Ferguson doubled. SOFTBALL: 14 and under: DeGraff Comer Insurance edged Bellefontaine 9-8. For Comer Insurance, Taylor Goings pitched a complete game and recorded twelve strikeouts. Emilee Smith went 2-2 to lead the offense. Maci Jones, Erin Krisher, Caitlynn Lackey, and Goings added two hits apiece. Huntsville #1 Lugnuts defeated East Liberty 15-5. Leslie Reichert earned the win. Gabby Hoying, Candace Lee, Ashley Collins, and Taylor Drake had doubles. 12 and under: DeGraff #2 beat Rushsylvania 19-8. For DeGraff #2, Christyn Wietholter earned the win and recorded ten strikeouts. Chelsea Giles had two home runs and three RBI's. Taylor Nichols, Kaylee Riley, Ashtyn Defibaugh, Makaela Godwin, and Sonya Peltier each had two hits. 10 and under: DeGraff #1 DeGraff Creamery defeated Lakeview #2 17-6. For DeGraff Creamery, Marissa Davis, Hannah Kilgore, Lauryn Davis, Molly Worrel, Helena Faulder, and Ashley Armstrong had multiple hits. 8 and under: DeGraff Medicap Pharmacy outscored Huntsville 16-12. For Medicap Pharmacy, Kelli Roach had a home run, a triple, and three RBI's. Kierstyn Severt, Jalynn Stanley, Alexis Snow, and Kelsi Walters doubled. |
