PONY LEAGUE: DeGraff #1 (Citizens Bank of DeGraff) defeated Rushsylvania 15-3 in five innings. Charlie Gariety and Matt Faulder pitched well in the win. Bryce Hodge, Chad Keith, Joseph Coulson, Scott Shreve, and Gariety each had two hits. Citizens Bank of DeGraff is 6-1 on the season. LITTLE LEAGUE: Washington (SS Powerwash) edged DeGraff 5-4. For Powerwash, Reyse Wallbrown, Kurt Crockett, and Ivan Reichert shined on the mound. Dakota Long had the game-winning hit. Wallbrown recorded two hits. LJ Henderson and Crockett had extra base hits. For DeGraff, Landon Kelsey, Tanner Lane, and Trevor Anderson pitched well. Kelsey led the offense by going 3-3. Anderson doubled and tripled. Huntsville #1 (CJ Engineering) outscored Bellefontaine #4 (McDonald's) 18-17. Jacob Hulbert, Brandon Huffman, and Brennon Lump combined for ten strikeouts in the win. Alex Bozman blasted a home run and Jorden Bendler tripled. Brandon Gillen and Lump smacked doubles. Trevor Smelcer had the game-winning hit, which drove in Daniel Fry. Cole Wurster recorded three hits. For McDonald's, Austin Benton, Jake Kennedy, and Cody Lyons teamed up for ten K's. Calvin Davis had a pair of home runs, a triple, and a double. Lyons homered and Clay Russell added a pair of doubles. Zanesfield blanked Lakeview 12-0. Jordan Scales and David Nease combined for nine K's in the win. Kyler Young led the offense with a home run. Scales recorded a triple. Saul Boysel, Brady Bechtel, and Nease doubled. Austin Ahle added two hits. For Lakeview, Cody Winegardner and T. Dolan each had a hit. Bellefontaine #5 (Exchange Club) edged Bellefontaine #3 (AcuSport) 5-4. Cam Henry went five innings and struck out fourteen to earn the win. AJ Gorham posted the save with three K's in the sixth inning. Andrell Roberts led the offense with a two-run single. For AcuSport, Kody Conner, Andrew Mitchell, and Jarrod Houchin combined for six strikeouts. Houchin had a pair of singles. Bellefontaine #1 (Lions Club) defeated Rushsylvania 9-0. For Lions Club, Devin Legge, Cody Hullinger, and Evan McClure combined for thirteen strikeouts. Collen Pulfer and Colton Wreede homered. Lane Kiser had a triple. Rushsylvania pitchers Jordan Craig and Hunter Colwell teamed up for nine strikeouts. Tyler Craig, Garrett Dunn, and Colwell had hits. FARM LEAGUE: West Liberty #3 (Michael's Pizza) outscored Ridgemont #2 19-11 Wednesday night. Logan Woolley had a game to remember. He struck out six in three innings to earn the win. At the plate, Woolley was 3-4 with a double, a triple, and seven RBI's. Logan Brown had two hits and scored three times. Michael Frederick added a double. For Ridgemont #2, Jace McGue struck out nine in 3 2/3 innings. Alex Ramsey had two hits and scored three runs. SOFTBALL: National City Bank handled Masonic Temple 14-2 in Junior League. Sara Vetorino was the winning pitcher. She struck out eight in three innings. Shelby Raney blasted a grand slam. Hollie Stepp had two hits and drove in three runs. Butler's Spouting edged Dairy Queen 7-6. Kinsey Harman was the winning pitcher. Emma Earick, Alivia Wilson, Addie Brown, and Hannah Vance played excellent defense. 10 and under: Lakeview #1 (Indian Lake Moose Lodge) defeated Quincy 10-8. Emali Sroufe and Ashley Holycross combined for sixteen strikeouts in the win. Lindsey Young went 3-3 with a grand slam. Magan Johnston and Holycross each singled. For Quincy, Abby Profitt was 2-3 with a triple. |
