Bellefontaine went 4-1 to win the tournament. They defeated the Delphos Braves 16-4, Ottawa 3-0, and then lost to St. Marys 5-2. In the semifinals, Bellefontaine defeated the LCC T-Birds 9-2. In the championship game, Bellefontaine blanked the Delphos Reds 11-0. Team members include Colton DeMent, AJ Gorham, Skylar Heilman, Tyler Jones, Jake Kennedy, John Kirby, Rian Lopez, Cody Lyons, Collen Pulfer, Clay Russell, Aaron Rutherford, and Tyler Shamblin. T-BALL: Huntsville #1 Thomas & Marker Construction defeated West Mansfield #2 25-20. Hayden Pummel led Huntsville's hitting with a triple, a double, and a single. Kyleigh Huffer had two doubles and a single. Derek Dunfee contributed two doubles and a single. Ethan Pequignot led the defensive efforts with a double play. Carter Klauer and Mercedes Foor also had some outstanding defensive plays. Ridgemont improved to 4-0 by defeating West Mansfield 24-12 Sunday night. Mackenzie Deardorf, Chase Geissinger, Colten Whitaker, Jasmine Reisinger, and Shawn Bennett had home runs for Ridgemont. Huntsville #4 (Sunderhaus Insurance) defeated East Liberty #2 21-12 Saturday. Huntsville #4 was led by Kylee Morrison who recorded 10 unassisted put outs defensively. Isaac Roby homered and Lizzy Foreman tripled. For East Liberty, Emily Folk doubled and scored four runs, while Kaylee Nicholas and Mataya Penhorwood doubled. Both teams are back in action this Friday. SOFTBALL: In 8 and under action, DeGraff (Medicap Pharmacy) fell to Washington Township 19-11. For Medicap Pharmacy, Hallie Strapp had a grand slam and a homer. |
