Finals included: Bellefontaine #3 AcuSport edged Zanesfield 4-3. Jarrod Houchin stole home in the top of the seventh inning to lead AcuSport to the win.
Houchin pitched five strong innings and Joe Oliver tossed the final two innings. They combined for 11 strikeouts. Oliver led the offense by going 2-3, while Andrew Mitchell scored two runs.
Tristin Harshfield and David Nease both doubled for Zanesfield. Harshfield, Kyler Young, and Nease handled the pitching duties, striking out 14. Huntsville # 1 (CJ Engineering) nipped West Liberty 6-5 in ten innings. For Huntsville, Jacob Hulbert, Cole Wurster, Brennon Lump, and Simon Kirkpatrick combined for 17 strikeouts in the win. Zach Allison drove in Trevor Smelcer for the game-winning run in the 10th. Cole Wurster, Brandon Huffman, and Alex Bozman had two hits apiece. Caleb Meadows added a hit.
West Liberty's offense was led by Williams who doubled and singled. Bowden recorded a double. Cotterman, Bowden, Brunner, and Burden teamed up for 14 K's. Washington (SS Powerwash) defeated Belle Center 11-2. For Washington, Reyse Wallbrown, Kurt Crockett, Dustin Roby, LJ Henderson, and Ivan Reichert pitched well. Brad Francis had a triple and a double. Kurt Crockett, Ivan Reichert, and Reyse Wallbrown each had two hits. Ethan Downing doubled. For Belle Center, Austin Neeley went 2-2. Cole Cox and Alic Bickham doubled. |
