Rural Bellefontaine man arrested on multiple felony counts Print E-mail

Detectives from the Logan County Sheriff's Office seized high-powered weapons, ammunition and gun parts hidden in the attic of a rural Bellefontaine man around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Michael Todd Elliott, 36, 4165 County Road 13, was arrested earlier in the afternoon on domestic violence charges.

Detectives then obtained a search warrant from the Logan County Prosecutor's Office and raided Elliott's property.

Elliott was charged with three felonies: domestic violence, weapons under disability and possession of a dangerous ordinance.

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

An AK-47 Rifle was recovered at Elliott's house. 

Detectives continue to investigate.
