Finals included: Bellefontaine Powerbuilt ran its Acme League record to 2-0 with an 11-1 victory over Indian Lake at Blue Jacket Park. Brock Mitchell led Bellefontaine at the plate. He had three hits, including a home run. Zach Mosbarger went two for three with a triple and Mark Duffy added a double. Nolan Hunt picked up the win on the mound. Powerbuilt will battle Kenton Ridge tonight at six o'clock at Blue Jacket Park. The Benjamin Logan Acme team lost to Springfield 8-5. Matt McKirahan was three for three with a double. Trenton Rodenberger and Artie Fields had two hits apiece. The Bellefontaine Jr. Acme team outhit London, but still lost 10-6. Cody Scherer led the offense with two hits and three RBI's. Daulton Mosbarger recorded two hits and drove in two runs. The Bellefontaine pitching staff issued nine walks and six of them eventually scored. Coach Schoeck's team will play at St. Henry on Sunday at one o'clock. LITTLE LEAGUE Bellefontaine #3 (AcuSport) edged Ridgemont 5-4. Jarrod Houchin tripled home Brady LeVan with one out in the ninth inning to lead Bellefontaine. Houchin finished the game four for four with two triples and two RBI's. LeVan had two hits for the winners. Rian Lopez, Joe Oliver, and Andrew Mitchell combined for 16 strikeouts, with Mitchell earning the win. Tyler Reisinger was three for three with a double for Ridgemont. Teammates Devin Robinson and Derek Cobb added a pair of hits. Reisinger, Cobb, Justice McGue, and Lane Mitchell struck out 15 Bellefontaine batters. Bellefontaine #1 (Lions Club) defeated East Liberty/Middleburg 9-1. Colton Wreede, Devin Legge, and Evan McClure combined for 12 strikeouts in the win. Jordan Baughman led the Lions Club offense with four hits. Devin Legge had three hits, including a triple. Josh Burton recorded three hits. For East Liberty/Middleburg, Dalton Greene, Cody Rice, and David Watson teamed up for 11 strikeouts. Josh Hardman and Greene doubled. Washington (SS Powerwash) outscored Bellefontaine #2 Maple Leaf 11-8. For Powerwash, Reyse Wallbrown, Kurt Crockett, Dustin Roby, L.J. Henderson, and Ivan Reichert shined on the mound. Henderson belted a home run and Brad Francis tripled. Reyse Wallbrown and Dakota Long each had doubles. Crockett recorded three hits. Luke and Tyler Rode had two hits apiece. For Maple Leaf, Nick Burton and Matt Entsminger pitched well. Nick Heydinger had a double. Burton had two extra base hits. Skyler Heilman added a pair of hits. Lakeview defeated West Liberty 7-3. Blake Farris, Austin Collins, and Cody Winegardner pitched for the winners. For West Liberty, Williams had two hits. West Mansfield (Air Charter) edged Huntsville #1 10-9. Jake Noble, Mason Cline, and Derek Weiser struck out nine in the win. Zane Wheeler and Weiser collected two hits apiece. FARM LEAGUE West Liberty #2 Nelson Insurance routed Lakeview #1 25-5. Dalton Randall, Gage Rudasill, and Zach Lowe combined for the win on the mound. Dylan Leopard belted a home run. Ryan Conley recorded two hits. Maverick Aldo and Justin Salyers doubled. For Lakeview, C.J. Moots had a single. GIRLS SOFTBALL Senior League: Butler's Spouting slid by Kut-N-loose 9-7. For Butler's Spouting, Alivia Wilson hit a triple. Addie Brown and Kinsey Harman had two hits apiece. Dairy Queen defeated Village Builders 8-2. Haleigh Stafford was the winning pitcher. Madisyn Norris had three hits. Amanda Cole had a hit and three RBI's. Junior League: McDonald's beat National City 10-3. Savannah Brison and Macy Neff combined for 10 strikeouts on the mound. Brison had two hits and drove in four runs. |
