Fatal motorcycle accident near Lewistown Print E-mail

sheriffs_patch.jpgThe Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that a rural DeGraff man was killed in a motorcycle/deer accident west of Lewistown just after one o'clock Saturday morning.

Patrick Simon was driving a Honda Shadow southbound on State Route 235 near County 54 when he struck a deer.

Simon was ejected from the bike.

He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS.

Simon, 45, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He was not wearing a helmet.

It was the second serious motorcycle crash in the county last week.

On Thursday night, Sheri Rostorfer was flown to Grant Medical Center after a wreck on State Route 292 near Zanesfield.
