Once again, Shady Bowl Speedway fell victim to wet grounds and rain Saturday. A storm Wednesday night dumped heavy rains on the oval leaving the parking lot and grounds too wet. The Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club Night will be rescheduled.

The next event will be this Friday when the USAC Sprint Cars make their Shady Bowl debut. The sprinters will run a full program. The Compacts, Ohio Valley Dwarf Cars, and Detroit Iron will also be in action. The Compact feature will pay $300 to win.

The Bowl will be running its regular Saturday night program, too. The Compacts will headline that show with a $300 to win the main. The Late Models, Modifieds, Sport Stocks, and Pro-4's will also do battle. Racing will begin at 7 both nights.
