Injury accident in rural Champaign County Print E-mail

ohio_state_patrol.gifThe Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to a minor injury accident near Rosewood yesterday afternoon around four o'clock.

Troopers report that Roger Hurst, 62, of Springfield was driving an '07 Chevy Colorado southbound on Nine Mile Road and Sharon Cooper, 67, of Troy was operating a '96 Ford Escort westbound on State Route 29.

Hurst was struck on the driver's side after going through the stop sign.

He was not injured, but Cooper was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy by Riverside EMS.

Hurst was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

Both drivers were using their seat belt.

The Rosewood Fire Department assisted at the scene.
